Stakeholders Workshop on the Presentation of a Study Report on Assessing Youth Driven Social Accountability Indicators within the 2030 Agenda Landscape, Toungou Hotel Yaounde 05 March 2018
With the objective of setting the pace for Global Partnership for Effective Development Cooperation (GPEDC) indicator on youth in Development Effectiveness and assessing the youth in the ongoing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Cameroon Youths and Students Forum for Peace (CAMYOSFOP) in collaboration with the National Youth Association (NAYO) in Zimbabwe carried out a study on “Assessing Youth-Driven Social Accountability Indicators Within the 2030 Agenda Landscape.” This research was followed by a stakeholder workshop organized by CAMYOSFOP as the lead entity in Cameroon a stakeholder workshop at Toungou Hotel Yaounde,targeting key government ministries, United Nations Agencies, Development Partners and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in the development effectiveness sector for a wider dissemination of the study report.
The workshop aimed at achieving the following objectives:
- Present the study report on assessing youth-driven social accountability indicators within the 2030 agenda landscape.
- Brainstorm on the role and place of youths in development effectiveness.
- Inform key stakeholders on priority areas on which to focus development policies concerning youths as a means of speeding up sustainable development.
