Cameroon Joins Over 60 Nations in Shaping Priorities for the Post 2015 Development Agenda

Cameroon is privileged to be selected by the UN among the over 60 countries in the world, to conduct national consultations to stimulate an inclusive debate on a post 2015 development agenda, by providing
an analytical base, inputs and ideas that will feed into (a) the positions of Member States on the post 2015 development agenda, and (b) the intergovernmental process. The process in Cameroon has been spearheaded by the UN System under the Resident Coordinator of the UN and the government of Cameroon at the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Regional Development (MINEPAT). The process comprised of sub- national consultations that led to a national consultation.

This consultation is both expected to serve as a critical input to the next generation of development goals and to fit into the Growth and Employment Strategy Paper (GESP) which charts the road-map for development in Cameroon.
